How Hypnosis Works
Curious what to expect from clinical hypnosis? Here’s a look at the three-phase process, before, during, and after your session, so you can step in with clarity and confidence.
Each step honors your experience and nervous system, using personalized recordings to reinforce change and train your system into a steadier baseline.

What Happens in a Hypnosis Session
Before session: We slow down. We clarify what you’re experiencing, what you want to shift, and what your system needs to feel safe. You set the pace. Consent and clarity come first.
During hypnosis: You enter a relaxed, focused state while staying aware and in control. I guide the process as we work at the subconscious level, updating patterns in a way that feels steady, grounded, and precise.
After session: We integrate. You receive a personalized hypnosis recording to listen to between sessions, reinforcing the shifts we made and training your nervous system into a new baseline through repetition.
Is hypnosis safe?
Yes, hypnosis is a natural state you enter voluntarily. You remain fully aware and in control throughout the process.
Will I lose control or reveal secrets?
No. Hypnosis cannot make you do or say anything against your will. You are always conscious and able to choose what to share.
How many sessions will I need?
Results vary, but most people see change within 1 to 4 sessions. Follow-up and personalized recordings help reinforce new patterns.
Do You Accept HSA/FSA
Some clients may be able to use HSA/FSA funds for qualifying hypnotherapy services related to stress reduction, emotional wellness, behavioral support, and nervous system regulation. Eligibility varies by provider and some plans may require additional documentation or a Letter of Medical Necessity. Clients are responsible for confirming eligibility with their provider.
What issues can hypnosis help with?
Hypnosis may support stress reduction, emotional regulation, confidence, anxiety-related patterns, nervous system overwhelm, subconscious habits, self-sabotage, and behavioral change. Sessions are personalized to each client’s goals and experiences.
Do I need to believe in hypnosis for it to work?
No. Hypnosis is not about “weak minds” or losing control. Most clients simply need to be open and willing to participate. The process works through focused attention, repetition, and subconscious reinforcement, not blind belief.
